ABOUT

Tyrim Brash, known simply as Brash, is a self-taught American artist, an enigmatic purveyor of culture, connecting people and space through vision and ethos. Raised in the resilience of the analog era and shaped by the innovations of the digital age, he bridges two worlds: one analog, the other virtual. Inspired primarily by shades of black, he explores presence, perception, and the interplay of light and dark, inviting audiences to experience the world through a distinctly personal and collective lens.

Years of occupying space and collaboration with production studios, master artisans, and members-only clubs sharpened Brash’s self-taught lens, shaping a singular understanding of craft, community, and culture. His foundation was further strengthened through scholarship opportunities with The Art Students League of New York and the Joan Mitchell Foundation’s Young Artist Program out of Parsons School of Design.
Creative Medium: Mixed Media – Cross-Disciplinary
Brash works fluidly across disciplines, drawn to mixed media as a means of crossing boundaries. With his touch, materials become instruments of discovery, allowing ideas to surface in unexpected ways. His practice lives at the crossroads of art, design, and innovation, where form, feeling, and function converge. The work does not simply reflect its time, but spreads light beyond it
